Encino Elementary Annual Giving Fund 2011/2012

Dear Parents and Supporters of Encino Elementary School,

We are excited to join you in starting a new year at our wonderful school! Encino Elementary has a reputation for offering some of the best education available in the district. Now, more than ever, the quality of our children’s education is in OUR hands. The State’s education budget continues to be under siege and LAUSD has suffered even more cuts from last year. To maintain the high level of services and programs offered to our students, it is important for EVERY Encino family to make a financial commitment to our school. We have to raise funds from our families, since public funding will continue to drop this year to meet budget shortfalls.

Encino Elementary Annual Giving Fund
Annual Giving raises the annual operating money needed to provide the wonderful programs and services we value at Encino – services that LAUSD does not pay for. This fund directly pays for:

  • Computer Lab – 36 brand new iMac computers, in addition to instruction & maintenance
  • Physical Education teacher
  • Art teacher
  • Science teacher
  • Librarian hours
  • Assemblies and other services.

Our goal is 100% family participation in the Fund at any level.The Annual Giving Fund benefits every child and family, which is why we are asking each family to contribute. Our goal is for each family to contribute $55 per month for the 9 month school year, which works out to a $500 annual contribution. We welcome monthly payment arrangements if that is better for you. If you cannot make the suggested contribution, please donate an amount that works for your family. If you can give more, we ask you consider doing so. We realize this is more than we asked for last year; both our costs and budget cuts are up. Given its high level of excellence, Encino is an absolute bargain compared to private schools.

Annual Giving Fund Works.
Encino's API scores grew from 916 in 2010 to 936 for 2011!! The professionals and services these funds pay for free up our classroom teachers to do what they do best – educate our children. These successes are because of you. Best of all,  donations to Annual Giving are tax deductible. Giving is easy and safe on our site.
