CST Testing - 2nd to 5th Grade

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Your child(ren), along with public school students throughout California, will participate in the state's Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program this spring:

California Standards Test (CST) - The CSTs are multiple choice tests for students in grades 2-11 and a writing test for students in grades 4 and 7. The writing test is administered separately during a different testing window.

The school will administer the STAR tests from May 7 to May 18, 2012.

You can help your child be successful on the CST:

Give them positive encouragement and remind them to do their best.

Make sure that students are well rested and have eaten a healthy breakfast before arriving to school.

Make sure that students are on time to school and not pulled out of school for appointments during testing.

Encourage reading instead of video games or TV.
