Enrichment Registration

We are so excited to be able resume in person classes for the ETEAM's Enrichment fall program. We think you will be thrilled with the options!

  • Please note that all families must fill out the ETEAM Enrichment Waiver (1 per family just list all kids) in order for your children to participate. Please print and return to school or email to president@encinoelementary.net.
  • Classes are subject to cancellation if they do not meet enrollment minimums.

  • PLEASE FILL OUT A SEPARATE REGISTRATION FORM FOR EACH STUDENT.

From Annie to Wicked, from Oklahoma to Hamilton, join us for Broadway Bootcamp! Students will travel through the ages while learning songs and dances to musical theatre hits from the Golden Age through the modern musical. All levels of experience are welcome. Every student will have a vocal solo and be featured in multiple numbers. At the end of this 6 week session, students will perform in a Musical Theatre revue for friends and family!

Please meet our instructor: Morgan Smith is an ECES parent and theatre educator. She has worked professionally on stage and screen, and has spent 10 years as a teaching artist at YADA - Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts. Morgan loves working with students on their character work, as well as building their confidence both on and off stage!

All students in the chess club receive an exclusive Academic Chess workbook, prizes for good sportsmanship and participate in the “BIG TOURNAMENT” on the last day where all kids take home a prize!

About our Senseis: Young Ninjas classes are led by our high-energy Sensei's who introduce children to fundamental martial arts elements, like blocks, kicks, strikes, stances and the almighty power of the KI-YAH!! For eons, people of the world recoiled in fear at the sight of a spider. But truthfully, a spider’s greatest skill is its patience. To earn your YELLOW headband, you must display great PATIENCE, just like a spider. Young Ninjas is a high-energy program introducing children to fundamental martial arts elements, like blocks, kicks, strikes, and the all important KI-YAH! Through skill training, fun games, creative challenges, and Pad work on foam targets, children develop self-confidence and learn to enjoy being physically active in a non-contact setting. KI-YAH!

High Touch High Tech is proud to be offering their hands-on science programs here at Encino Charter Elementary. Our scientist will be guiding your children through all kinds of fun, exciting and HANDS-ON science and nature experiences.

Children will have a "super" fun time engaging in our completely hands-on science class. All materials provided in the science extravaganza. Each class will expose your young scientist to a wide variety of science disciplines that include chemistry.

Our young scientists take a deep dive into the amazing world of chemistry, where every reaction is a chemical reaction.

With each class we will mix a wide variety of chemicals together to make things like foam rubber, silly puddy, explosive volcanoes, lava lamps, disappearing colors, color changing liquids, rubber balls, finger paint, and much MUCH more. We'll even have a special day where they'll get to eat all the experiments they do. Your kids will be having so much fun they'll never want to stop doing science!

Learn to hand sew and embroider with Miss Shannon’s Sewing Class! Children will learn the fundamentals of sewing such as, the running stitch, back stitch and chain stitch. Patching and embellishing clothing is also taught by bringing in different projects to teach each skill. Fabrics are pre-cut and all materials needed will be provided in our sewing kits!

Safety guidelines will be discussed and reviewed in each class and new project. Fabrics are pre-cut and provided. Sewing kits include: 15 skeins of thread, pins, needles, scissors and an embroidery hoop, all inside a bright blue canvas bag. This class is open to K-5th grade. Projects will be adjusted to meet the age and skill level of the students.

Each culture has its own way to express itself through dance. In this class the students get to try world dances such as Indian (Bollywood), African, Latin American, etc. We start the class with a jazz warm-up thereafter we move into a little overview of the specific dance. We then explore different exercises that will connect us with the dance. The course will end in a dance medley with all the styles included.
